In preparation for the November 2023 COP28 in Dubai, under the auspices of H.E. President Abd El Fattah Al Sisi. The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, and The GrEEK Campus are hosting a pre-COP28 workshop to discuss the role of innovation-driven entrepreneurship in the climate transition with focus on emerging markets.

 

This workshop will build on a showcase of innovative solutions of the national competition. 

• Climate change challenges and opportunities for emerging countries: Aim of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects.
• Egypt’s role in the climate transition in relation to climate adaptation, and resilience.
• Start-ups and entrepreneurs’ contribution to national and international efforts in mobilizing climate finance through public-private partnerships.
• Eligibility and criteria to apply for the NISGP.

• A diverse group of participants including local entrepreneurs in the Smart Green sector.
• Officers from the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.
