The Prince of Wales was met with resounding applause at The GrEEK Campus in Downtown Cairo on Friday, 19 November.
In his first visit to Egypt in decades, groups of business figures and young entrepreneurs crowded the Courtyard for a few moments of face time with HRH Prince Charles. Led by The GrEEK Campus Chairman and Founder, Mr. Ahmed El Alfi, the Prince toured the downtown campus for his Sustainable Markets Initiative (SMI), where he met the incubated startups of StartEgypt, a pre-acceleration incubation initiative funded by the United Kingdom's Department for International Development (DFID), supported by International Finance Corporation (IFC), and powered by Flat6Labs established to inspire and support social impact entrepreneurship. He also took part in a round table discussion with Egypt's Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad along with corporate and institutional sustainability and climate leaders.
